Zelda Beasley Easter, 67 of Colonial Heights and Austinville, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at New River Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Easter is survived by her husband Donald Easter of Colonial Heights and Austinville; sons & daughters-in-law Raymond David Easter of Chesterfield, Jimmy & Lynda Easter of Chesterfield and Carl & Robin Easter of Petersburg; daughter Donna Birdsong-Pruett and husband Steve of Chesterfield; brothers & sisters-in-law Louie Ray & Wanda Beasley of Huntsville, AL and Ralph & Peggy Beasley of Ventura, CA; sisters & brothers-in-law Melda & Pete Jackson and Janice & Wayne Jackson all of Austinville; daughter-in-law Rhonda Easter; six grandchildren Adam Birdsong, Lacey Birdsong, Beth Easter, Raymond Easter, Eric Easter and James Easter; and five step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Mr. Jack King officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Beasley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
