Winfred Garfield Lawson, 82 of Austinville, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at his home.  Mr. Lawson was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Garfield and Martha Scott Lawson.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lawson; brother, Larry Lawson; and sister, Mavis Frazier.

Survivors include his daughters, Angie Crigger and husband, Scott, and Laura Houser; son, Bobby Houser; grandchildren, Kourtni Houser, Bailey Houser, and Ava Houser; and great-grandchildren, Kason Houser, Kennedi Houser, and Kora Houser.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Coulson Church with Dr. Wayburn Mosley officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Coulson Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, July 18th from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the memorial service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
