Wilma B. Howlett, 87 of Hillsville, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Mrs. Howlett was born in Carroll County to the late Sexton and Iva White Bond. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Arlyss Howlett and daughter and son-in-law, Vickie Jo and Jim McKaughan. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara Howlett of Hillsville; sister, Dorothy Wyrick of Hillsville; two grandchildren, Nicholas Howlett and companion, Jessica Stone and Bernadette Moore and husband, Eric Moore; and one great grandson, Malachi Shuman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Hillsville Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. Eastern Star Services will be conducted by Hillsville Chapter #71. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
