William Davis Webb

William Davis Webb, 73, of Hillsville, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. He lived his last days surrounded by the love of his family and his constant companion: his pup, Stella.

Known to others as “Bill” or “Willie,” he was a surly and silly, yet good hearted gentle giant who loved nothing more than being a prankster, playing music and being with his family. An avid music lover, Willie enjoyed playing in The Blue Sun Band in high school and, later, The Back Alley Band - which led him to the greatest love of his life: His wife, Yvonne. Willie found great joy when watching his favorite bands play in person or on YouTube and providing his own commentary. Known as a friend to many, Willie’s favorite titles were “Husband” to Yvonne; “Dad” to Dedrian (wife, Rhonda) of McLeansville, North Carolina, and Zachary of Hillsville, Virginia; and “PaPa” to Kira, Haven, Abbi, Lane, and Alex.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Rush and Mildred Webb, and wife, Faithe “Yvonne” Webb. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Willie leaves behind a brother, Mike (wife, Liz) Webb; a nephew, David (wife, Angela); a niece, Beth Webb; extended family: Collin Webb, Alyssa Blankenship (husband, Matt; children Ava and Elias), and Allie Howe; and longtime friends: Brother-in-law, Ron Nester (wife, Michele); Mike Martin, and John Henley.

A special Celebration of Life will take place honoring Willie on Yvonne’s first Heavenly birthday: Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00-4:00pm, at the Webb home, 224 Sutherland Street, Hillsville, Virginia. Light hor d’oeuvres will be served.
