William Howard "Shorty" Edwards, 75, of Barren Springs passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA.

He was preceded in death by his son, Pudgie Edwards; granddaughter, Brandi Arnold; parents, Willie and Lillian Bays Edwards.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years Linda Wright Edwards; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Richard Arnold of Ivanhoe; daughter-in-law, Kay Edwards; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Wes and Betty Edwards of Max Meadows, Jack and Betty Edwards of Max Meadows; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Buster Hayes of NC; very special grandson C.W. Arnold and Amy Thomas; granddaughters and spouse, Jennifer and Joe Sayers, Jessie Edwards and Jacob Edmonds; eight great grandchildren, (paw-paws crazy three, Chris Arnold, Justin Arnold, and Brandon Arnold), Cassie Smith, Justin Hylemon, Elijah Willis, Tanner Edmonds and Cody Edmonds; special niece, June; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Hal Lewis and Pastor Terry Alley officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Edwards family.
