William Charles (Bill) Mayberry, 54 of Galax, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Wythe County Community Hospital. Mr. Mayberry was born in Galax Virginia to the late John Thomas and Alberta Farmer Mayberry. He is survived by his wife Connie D. Mayberry of the home; daughters & son-in-law Brenda & Gary Parks of Fancy Gap, Nicole Mayberry of Galax, and Jennifer Byrd of Cana; sons Kenneth Byrd of Independence and James Byrd of Galax; sister & brother-in-law Nancy & Thomas Carico of Fancy Gap; brother Wayne Mayberry of Hudson, OH; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dewey Felts officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
