William Malcolm Marshall, 78 of Allisonia, passed away on March 24, 2008 at the Wythe County Community Hospital. Mr. Marshall was born in Carroll County, VA to the late Floyd & Ocie Williams Marshall. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rosie Mae Marshall and two brothers, Everett and Jesse Marshall. He is survived by his daughters & son-in-law Vicki & Paul Scott of Max Meadows and Carolyn Taylor of Wytheville; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law Guy & Marie Marshall of Max Meadows; sisters Geneva Turpin of Willis, Oleta Henley of Pulaski and Isabelle Jalis of Dumfries, VA; mother-in-law Mary Henley of Max Meadows; step-mother Lillian Marshall of Collinsville; step-sister Linda Henley of Collinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Roy Turpin and Rev. N.R. Taylor officiating. Burial will be held in the Marshall-Sutphin Cemetery on Thursday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 5:00 PM on Wednesday evening and lasting until funeral service time.
