William Leon Goad, aged 54 of Hillsville, went on to be with the Lord on January 15, 2025.  William was loved by many, hard-working, a proud father and a jack of all trades.  William cherished his line of work at C.R. Henderson Company.  There he was able to fulfill his passion of operating large machinery and putting his CDL's to good use.  He also spent his time playing the drums, bass and utilizing many of his God-given musical talents.

Left behind is his daughter, Chesney Goad, who he loved more than anything.  Also surviving are his sister, Suzanne Goad; step-sister, April Largen; and nieces and nephews, Sara-Amanda Venegas, Marina-Elizabeth Venegas, Raul-William Venegas, Emily Rose Goad, and Matthew Conner Goad.

William loved and knew Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.  The family finds peace that he is singing at the ultimate revival in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Brother Craig Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
