William Paul Lane, 84 of Laurel Fork and formerly of Nicut, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mr. Lane was born in Calhoun, WV on May 11, 1937 to the late Ralph and Arlie H. Lane. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

William proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed stateside and also in Germany.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Christopher McDonald of Bassett; grandchildren, Gregory McDonald of West Virginia and Christalyn Oakes (Matt) of Ohio; step grandson, John McDonald (Deb) of Colorado; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Leek officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
