William Benny "W.B." Felts, 75, of Fancy Gap, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center. Mr. Felts was born in Carroll County to the late Fred and Cora Combs Felts. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his two sons Jerry Wayne Felts and Perry Alan Felts. Survivors include his wife Maxine S. Felts of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Phyllis and Morgan Towe of Cana, Debra K. VanHoy of Fancy Gap, and Vicki and Danny Alderman of Galax; sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Guy Weeks of Virginia; grandchildren Holly Felts of Mount Airy, NC, Matthew Alderman of Galax, Taylor VanHoy of Fancy Gap, and Josh Alderman of Galax; one great grandson Thomas Richard Scott of Mount Airy, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Dewey Felts officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
