William (Bill) Eugene Russ, Jr., 83 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Russ was born in Bladen County, NC to the late William Eugene Russ, Sr. and Ellen Norton Russ.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Russ, and a sister, Pam Russ.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Russ; children, Steven Russ (Patty), Beth Russ, and Ashleigh Robinson; grandchildren, Tyler Russ (Brittany), Kelsie Hatherlee, Kinley Hatherlee, Kacie Swiergiel (Chris), Katelyn Payne, Kaleb Payne, and Kyleigh Payne; and great grandchildren, Griffin Russ, Cooper Swiergiel and Zoey Herring; sister-in-law, Linda Russ; and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
