William Elden Largen, 90 of Hillsville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, NC. Mr. Largen was born January 14, 1919 in Carroll County to the late Homer & Mary Nester Largen of Laurel Fork. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wives Pauline Collier Largen and Jennette Finley Largen; and two brothers Ray Largen, Laurel Fork and Andrew Largen, Miami, FL. He is survived by his son William Eddie Largen and daughter Sue Worrell both of Hillsville; a brother Raymond Elwood Largen and wife Phyllis of Coral Springs, FL; three grandchildren William Darren Worrell of Willis, Tabitha Lynn Worrell of Troutville, and Cecelia Dawn Worrell of Hillsville; four great grandchildren W. Bryant Worrell, Kaley Nester, W. Cole Worrell and Gabriel Worrell; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2009 with Rev. Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery in Laurel Fork. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
