William Steven Davis, 76, of Galax, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Davis was born in Hillsville, VA to the late James Walter and Rhodella Semones Davis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Mae Petty Davis; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Martha Elle Semones; brothers, infant son of James and Rhodella, and Carl Michael Davis; and daughter, Kathy Dawn Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ann Davis; sons and daughters-in-law, William Steven and Laurin Davis and James Anthony and Michelle Davis; daughter, Jill Denise Sharpe; son and daughter-in-law, Jason Douglas and Lori Sutphin; sister, Martha Mae Austin; grandchildren, Brittany Dawn Gilbert and husband, Rocky, II, Tyler Skaggs, Ashtyn Margaret Sharpe, Colin Richardson Sharpe, Carsyn Greer Sharpe, and Lincoln James Davis; great-grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Gilbert and Rocky Gilbert, III; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Hillsville at 11:00 AM with Dr. Lawrence Childs officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 7726 – Independence Grayson Post. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VFW National Home for Children or the First Baptist Church of Hillsville Building and Grounds Fund. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family
