William Elmo Collier, 83 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Collier was born in Carroll County to the late William Bryant & Daisy McPeak Collier. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his daughter Mona Gail Banks; sister Pauline Largen; and grandson Gregory Scott Banks. He is survived by his wife Mary Etta Collier of Hillsville; daughter & sons-in-law Debra & Boss Branscome and Yvonne & Donnie Cox all of Dugspur; grandchildren Shannon Semones, Jasen Banks, Shelli Burnett, Amanda Collier, Kindell Young, Breonna Cox, and William LaBron Cox; and great grandchildren Abbigail Banks, Katelyn Smith, William Burnett, Santana Day, Kayson Saunders, and Aythen Young.

A family graveside service with burial following will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Nathan Montgomery officiating. The family will receive friends at Blue Ridge Fellowship Church at 5357 Glendale Road on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
