William Robert (Billy) Lyons, 72 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at his home. Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife Shirley Padgett Lyons of the home; sons & daughter-in-law William Robert (Bobby) Lyons, II of Hillsville and Doug & Chelsie Lyons of Hillsville; daughter & son-in-law Melisa & Kevin Martin of Hillsville; seven grandchildren Morgan Lyons, Burkley Lyons, Connor Lyons, Madison Lyons, Maddox Lyons, Turner Martin and Jace Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wendall Horton and Pastor Duane Steele officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
