Mr. William Charles Beasley died August 3, 2010 at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation. He was born September 23, 1923 in Surry County, NC to Joe Andrew and Georgia Hope Worrell Beasley. Charles was very active in church activities as long as his health permitted. He dearly loved gospel and blue grass music. Everyone that met him found it was not any trouble for him to get into a conversation. Charles was raised in his early years in Carroll County, Virginia working on the farm. While he was feeding the cows you could often hear him singing gospel or bluegrass early in the morning. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty and a brother & his wife James Malcolm Beasley & Tommiscee. He is survived by a brother & sister-in-law Joseph & Josephine Beasley of Walnut Cove and also a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Alderman Cemetery, in Hillsville, Virginia in the Freemont Community at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dustin Montgomery officiating.
