Willa Dean (Penny) Nester, 70 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Wyatt & Lila Mae Alderman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Orlus Nester and a brother Alvin Alderman. She is survived by a brother & sister-in-law Elmo & Margaret Alderman of Hillsville; sisters Ethel Marie Alderman of Hillsville and Lillian Hawks of Fancy Gap; sisters-in-law & spouse Alice Alderman of Floyd and Glendon & Melvin Webb of Hillsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Clarence Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderman & Clontz Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 7, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
