Wilfred Dalton Cox, 81 of Woodlawn, passed away Monday, September 4, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his wife Geneva B. Cox. He is survived by his daughter, Joan Edwards of Woodlawn; sons & daughter-in-law Alan W. & Phyllis N. Cox of Woodlawn and Garry Thomas Cox of Woodlawn; sisters-in-law & spouse Love Cox of Hillsville, Willa Hamilton of North Canton, OH and Gardella & Tommy Terry of Woodlawn; brothers-in-law & spouse Hazen & Linda Burnette of Galax, and K.C. Burnette of Bassett; one grandson Chris Edwards of Woodlawn; and several nieces & nephews.

Graveside services with burial following will be Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Coulson Cemetery at 1:00 PM officiated by Rev. Norman Goad. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Wednesday night from 6:00 to8:00 PM.
