Wayne Dale Sawyers' Obituary
Wayne Dale Sawyers, 76 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mr. Sawyers was born in Carroll County to the late Foy and Mary Ruth Burnett Sawyers. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Clerin Sawyers.
Mr. Sawyers is survived by his wife, Wanda Sawyers of the home; children, Becky Danison of Fancy Gap, Ricky Sawyers of Elkin, NC, Todd Sawyers of Fancy Gap, and Brad Sawyers and wife, Pam Dalton of Hillsville; future son-in-law, Terry Alford, future daughters-in-law, Lisa Mears; grandchildren, Robby Danison, Josh Danison, Erin Sawyers, and Lauren Sawyers; and one great grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Wendell Horton, Pastor Dina Clower, and Rev. Gary Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bobbitt-Quesinberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
