Wayne D. Hancock, 70, of Austinville passed away on January 11, 2008 at Pulaski Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Early & Beulah Hancock; a daughter Rhonda Faye Hancock; a son David Hancock; brothers Tom, Jim, Thalford, Rudolph, and Ave; sisters Joe and Alene. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Hancock of the home; step-daughter and spouse Lynette & Tony Robinson of Hillsville; brothers and sisters-in-law John & Janet Hancock of Max Meadows, Russell & Joann Hancock of Martinsville; sisters and brothers-in-law Sonia & Ray Easter of Carroll County, Faye & Ray Saunders of Pulaski; grandchildren John Hancock, Becky Garner, Chasity Hedges, Lora Ellen Robinson, Kaylyn Robinson; great grandchildren Charlie Garner, Kenneth Hedges, Emily Hedges; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with Pastor Cas Horton and Pastor Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Round Knob Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
