Wayne Allen Chappell, 53 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Novant Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Chappell was born in Galax, Virginia to the late Roosevelt Wise and Helen Dorthy Woods Chappell.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery R. Chappell.

Survivors include several loving cousins and friends; uncle, Friel Woods; and aunt by marriage, Blanche Woods.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Tilley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Worrell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
