Wava Irene Vinson, 90 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born May 27, 1921 to the late Samuel & Gracie Hurst Gardner; she also preceded in death by her husband Howard C. Vinson. Mrs. Vinson was a loving mother, she is survived by her daughter, Daphne R. Taylor, Galax; 2 grandchildren, several great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 10:00 AM at the Gardner Cemetery, with Pastor Shawn Carter, Elder Tim McGrady officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
