Wanda Kay Nester, 71 of Fries, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Grayson Rehab and Health Care.  Ms. Nester was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Clinton and Ethel D. Harrison Gallimore.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Gallimore.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Nester (Sarah) and Gary Nester (Amanda); siblings, Anita Pearman, Daisy Gravley, Debbie Blair, and Clinton "Buckshot" Gallimore; sister-in-law, Sarah Gallimore; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two-step-grandchildren; special nephew and niece, Randall Stone and Vanessa Huffman; and several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Round Knob Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ed Buchanan and Glenn Dalton, Jr. officiating.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
