Wanda Lee Frazier Oakes, 66 of Austinville, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her father Johnson Robert Frazier and two sisters Berdene McGee and Teresa Alexander. Mrs. Oakes is survived by her husband Raymond Calvin Oakes; children & spouses Kenneth Dale & Rebecca Oakes of Hillsville, Michelle Lee & Ben Belton of Austinville, and Thomas Robert Oakes & fiance Christal Melton of Austinville; mother Clara Belle Frazier of Austinville; brothers & sister-in-law Robert & Elizabeth Frazier of Max Meadows; Darrell Frazier of Galax, and Ralph Frazier of Austinville; sisters & brothers-in-law Patsy & Maynard Pickett of Austinville and Joyce & Curtis Lester of Galax; and grandchildren Brandy Belton & fianc Brandon Smith, Richard Belton, and Hobie Stone.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Young, Pastor Junior Bullion, and Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
