Walter David "Hoot" Gibson, 58 of Woodlawn, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at his home.  Mr. Gibson was born in Maryland on May 24, 1967.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald D. Gibson.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Donna Cornett Gibson; children, Emily Underwood (Ethan), Amy Wagan (Sam), Natalie Gibson, and Charlie Cowley; grandsons, Lincoln Underwood and Liam Underwood; a granddaughter on the way; mother, Patricia A. Gibson; sisters, Missy Boone and Sara McKinney; and a large loving family and a band of brothers.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 26, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 4:30 PM with Pastor Jim Longest officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 until 4:30 PM prior to the memorial service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
