Walter Franklin Burnett, 91 of Dugspur, dear neighbor and beloved father, went on to his rest on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at his home. Mr. Burnett was born in Dugspur to the late Irvin Austin Burnett, Sr. and Susannah Dickerson Burnett.

Survivors include his wife, Reda Nester Burnett of the home; children, Dianna B. Phillips of Woodlawn, Sheila B. Delp of Botetourt, Eveston F. Burnett of Austinville, Beverly M. Bethart of Dugspur, Teresa B. Wingo of Roanoke, Lisa D. Burnett of Pulaski, and Valinta B. Brown of Nashville, TN; sister, Martha B. West of Collinsville; five grandsons; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Dugspur Community Building. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
