Virginia Katherine Phillips, 80 of Galax, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Golden Living Center-Blue Ridge. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Robyn Bee Rosciolo. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband Paul J. Phillips of the home; daughters & sons-in-law Paulette & Paul Shatley of Morganton, NC, Frances & Robert Farmer of Rising Sun, MD, Barbara & Claude Denton of Morganton, NC; son & daughter-in-law Paul & Dottie Phillips of Morganton, NC; four grandsons; five granddaughters; 14 great grandchildren; and special nephew and niece Willie & Ann Robinson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Vine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday night from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
