Virginia Carol Marshall, 70 of Woodlawn, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Marshall was born in Austinville, Virginia to the late James and Maggie Martin Dunford.

She is survived by her husband, Loman R. Marshall of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Shannon Austin of Galax; sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Utt of Austinville and David and Leigh Ann Marshall of Hillsville; brothers, Raymond Dunford of Martinsville, Gatewood Gibbs of St. Petersburg, FL, and Burton Dunford of Austinville; sister, Evelee Black of Arizona; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Great Hope Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Great Hope Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
