Virginia S. Duncan, 73 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Galax Health and Rehab. Mrs. Duncan was born in Bland County, Virginia to the late Clarence and Margarett Warden Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Duncan.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Gordon Gibson of Galax; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Melissa Farlow of North Carolina; brothers, Raymond Stanley of Hillsville, Ralph Stanley of Pulaski, and Donald Stanley of Giles; and two grandson, Nathan Farlow and Logan Gibson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Trail officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
