Violet Jean Sumners Reynolds, 86, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2007 in Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. Violet was born on March 23, 1920 in Carroll County, VA. She retired from Sprague Electric in Hillsville and was a member of Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband Charles M. Reynolds, and sons Roger Reynolds and Jerry Reynolds. She is survived by her children Charles Burton Reynolds and wife Carol of Williamsburg, VA, George Thomas Reynolds and wife Juanita of Dayton, OH, Dennis A. Reynolds and wife Hope of Wytheville, VA, Sophia R. Hass and Husband Gene of Concord, NC and Patsy R. Kent and husband Don of Williamsburg, VA; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 26, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
