Viola Earnestine Semones Nester, 81 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Elbert & Della Quesinberry Semones. She is survived by her husband Harden Nester, Jr. of the home; daughter Kay Dickerson of Hillsville; son & daughter-in-law Les & Kathy Nester of Newport, VA; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Neil Eidson and Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
