Viola Gingerich Schlabach

Viola Gingerich Schlabach 91 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Schlabach; parents, Daniel J. and Elizabeth Miller Gingerich; three brothers, Al Gingerich, Bill Gingerich, and Joe Gingerich; five sisters, Mary Hershberger, Betty Hershberger, Sarah Anderson, Miriam Tennefoss, and Carolyn Beiler; great grandchild, Asaph Hochstetler.

Survivors include her; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Ruth Schlabach, and Brian and Dorothy Schlabach; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Andrew Hochstetler, and Rachel and Jay Hershberger; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete Gingerich, Mose and Miriam Gingerich, and Dan and Mary Gingerich; sister, Ruby Stanley; 29 grandchildren and 82 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Island Creek Mennonite Church with Richie Lauer officiating. Burial will follow at Island Creek Mennonite Church.
