Viola Ellen Cole, 95 of Galax, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Cole; daughter Pearl Hein and son Claude Cole. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Norma & Isaac Stockner of Fancy Gap, Marie Snow of Mt. Airy, NC, Vada & Bill Smith of Mt. Airy, NC, Joyce & Don Hein of Hillsville, Carol & Odell Sumner of Galax and Sharon & Mike McFarland of Galax; sons & daughters-in-law Lonnie & Dorothy Cole of Cana and Dewey & Mary Cole of Galax; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Heath Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday night at the funeral home.
