Vickie Ann Tate Ritter, 53 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Mrs. Ritter was born in North Carolina on November 26, 1968 to the late Kyle and Thelma T. Tate. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Tate and a sister, Patsy Luna.

Survivors include her husband, Ray David Ritter, Jr. of the home; daughter, Linda N. Ayers of Hillsville; son, Richard Ayers and wife, Tamer of Dugspur; step-children, Carly Ritter, Nicole Ritter, and Erica Ritter; grandchildren, Lita Williams, Zachary Williams, Michael William, Jr. Skylee Ayers, Sydney Ayers, and Jadelyn Ball; siblings, Howard Tate, Pauline Hinkle, Parthene Chapman, Mary Padron, and Nancy Gamble; and her special adopted children, Brent Walls, Chad Mabe, and Daniel Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tommy Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharp Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
