Vernon Randolph Brook, 66 of Woodlawn, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Brook was born in Wythe County to the late Robert Bernard and Merle Iris Smith Brook.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Brook of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Pam Brook of Meadows of Dan; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Dallas Lineberry of Woodlawn; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Barry Cox of Speedwell; brother and sister-in-law, Cliffton (Butch) and Rebecca Brook of Maine; grandchildren, David Nester and Brandi Puckett and husband Joshua; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett, Rev. Wayne Pickett, and Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Fries, VA. The family will receive friends at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church on Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Sky View Baptist Church Youth or Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church Youth. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
