Verbenia Gray Moore, 98 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Trinity Mission and Rehab. Mrs. Moore was born in Carroll County to the late Harvey and Ruth Surratt Gray. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Moore; and son, Moyier Moore Survivors include her sister, Delphia Roller of Jonesboro, TN; grandchildren and spouses, Delphia and Dee Griffin of Austinville and Charlotte and Calvin Wayne Bryant of Hillsville; three great grandchildren and spouses, Jessica Griffin, Willie and Kim Bryant, and Samantha and Andrew Daubach; and three great-great grandchildren, Mickayla Mabe, A.J. Daubach and Micah Daubach. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Allison Chapel Church of God at 1:00 PM with Pastor R.J. Buttery and Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, from 12:00 noon until service time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
