Vera Sue Moore Shockley, 90 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Golden Living Center Blue Ridge. Mrs. Shockley was born in Carroll County to the late Roy Clarence and Cassie Gladys Duncan Moore. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Collin A. Shockley; son, Bobby A. Shockley; and brothers, Clarence Moore, Elwood Moore, and Travis Moore. Survivors include her daughters, Jo Lynne Shockley of Hillsville and Karen Shockley Reynolds and husband, Harold W. Reynolds of Hillsville; daughter-in-law, Dianne Wynn Shockley of Hillsville; granddaughter, Bonnie Sue Shockley; and grandson, William Robert Shockley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 12:00 PM with Pastor Michael Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Flowers will be appreciated; however, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shockley Cemetery c/o Barbara Shockley 156 Mourning Dove Drive, Hillsville, VA 24343.
