Velda Marie Utt, 97 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Utt was born in Switch Back, WV to the late John and Martha Shockley Harris. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wise Utt.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Faye and Ernest Williams, Weldon and Lorna Utt, Teresa Utt, and Brenda Utt all of Fancy Gap; grandchildren, Darnell Williams, Jeanie Mabe and Derek Hall; great grandchildren, Daniel Williams, Tonya Slimane, Geneva Williams, and Mary Beth Williams; and great-great grandchildren, Cole Bowers plus one on the way.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Larry Cline officiating. Burial will follow in the Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
