Vanessa Atkins Dalton, 58 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Dalton was born in Pulaski, Virginia on February 2, 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Betty Atkins Dalton; brother, Gary Dalton; step-granddaughter, Emily Edwards; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Mary Dalton.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie M. Dalton of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Trinity Dalton of Hillsville and Michael and Debbie Atkins of Austinville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenna Dean of Dublin, Geneva and Ellis Kincer of Pulaski, and Debbie and Charles Criner of Pulaski; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Victoria Atkins of Pulaski; sister-in-law, Jan Dalton; special friend, Cathy Simons of Mount Airy, NC; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Dalton Family Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ronnie Isom officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
