Vance Lee Wyrick, 76, of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ephrom and Josie King Wyrick; son, Samuel Donnel Wyrick. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Gardner Wyrick of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa Lynn and Bryan Jones of Wytheville; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Chad and Angie Wyrick of Conover, NC; brother Isaac Vernon (Sonny) Wyrick of Wytheville; three sisters, Helen Janie Currie of Palestine TX, Donnia Rivers Waller, of Wytheville, and Martha Evelyn Fielder of Wytheville; four grandchildren, Mark Anders, Lauren Anders, Avaraine Jones, and Emily Wyrick; two step grandchildren, Bradley Jones, and Blake Jones; special friend and father-in-law, Lester Gardner. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Hillsville Church of God with Pastor Gerald Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at West End Cemetery in Wytheville, VA. The family will receive friends at the Hillsville Church of God one hour prior to the funeral service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Flowers will be appreciated however in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Hillsville Church of God building fund. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Wyrick family.
