Twila White Nester, 93 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at her home. Mrs. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Mondes and Zella Mae Ogle White. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Posey Britt Nester; son, David Nester; siblings, Erselle Williams, Sarah Ellen Price, and Vernon White; step-mother, Essie Mae White; and step-sisters, Judy Surratt and Terry Craig.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Lovell and husband, Wayne and Tommy Nester and wife, Dodi; siblings, Jim White and wife, Mary Ann, Gernon White and wife, Ellen, and Geraldine Warner; step-brothers, R.C. Nolan and wife, Brownie and Pat Nolan and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Brett Lovell and wife, Abby and Lori Lovell Rod and husband, Stephane; step-grandson, Jerrad Honaker; and great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ainsley, Chloe, and Lucas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
