Trent Henderson, 85 of Thomasville, NC, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC. Mr. Henderson was born in Montgomery County, VA to the late Frank and Ida Turman Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Rainey Bishop Henderson; daughter, Brenda Henderson Swane; three sisters, Chrystal Washington, Martha Foreman, and Daphana Henderson; and three brothers, Francis Henderson, James Henderson, and Hugh Henderson.

Mr. Henderson was a long-time resident of Colonial Heights, VA and retired from Firestone. He was Veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2239 in Colonial Heights.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Joe Joy of Thomasville, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Carrie Henderson of Richmond, VA; brothers, Minor Henderson of Virginia and Gerald Henderson of Blacksburg; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 Am with Wilma Foreman officiating. Burial will follow in the Turman Cemetery in Dugspur. Military honors will be conducted by the Hillsville Grover King V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
