Obituary

Travis Ross White, 42 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Twin County Regional Hospital.  Mr. White was born in Radford, Virginia on January 10, 1983.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Jo Tedder White.

Survivors include his father, Dwight Gilmer White; siblings and spouses, Eddie Alexander (Teresa), David Alexander (Susan), Phillip Alexander, and Wendy Alexander (Carrie Darnell); special niece who was like a sister, Katrina Alexander-Henley; nephew, Derek Alexander; niece Jessica Sumner; and special friends, Missy Coble, Liam, and Vaneta Willard.

Travis was well known across his community. His presence was always genuine and loving.  He took great pride in being a friend and helping everyone. He had a way of making you feel like he was your very best friend because he was. He valued his family and his friends greatly.  He was known for his bright baby blue eyes, cute giggle, and great strength - for being Hercules. But he had the most kind and gentle Soul. He was always kind and described as a big ole teddy bear.  He would go out of his way to share a compliment, tell you a joke, or do an impression just to make you smile and laugh.

Every day he loved riding the back roads with his Dad. They would ride to check on family and friends and to see the mountains, creeks, and rivers. He loved his four-wheeler and riding up to visit his sister to show off on his four-wheeler a little. He loved fishing with his Dad and his family. He already had his poles out and getting ready for this summer.

Travis was a simple man that made such a big impact on all that were blessed to know him. It is impossible to state how much he will be missed, the only grace in missing him is knowing he is at home in heaven with Jesus and his Mom, Patsy Jo.
