Timothy S. Spears, 50, of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at his home. Mr. Spears was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Robert and Kathleen Gibbs Spears. Also preceding him in death was his Grandparents, Joe Henry and Nettie Spears, Alfred and Flora Gibbs. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Powell-Spears of the home, His children, Caitlin Brooke Powell of, Hillsville, Christopher Chance Powell of, Hillsville. Also surviving are his brothers, Edward Spears of, Woodlawn, J.P. Spears of, Galax, Uncles and Aunts, Gracy Mae Spears, Fred and Kathy Spears, Pearl and Casper Spears and Hazel Tombs. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor David Bays officiating. The burial will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, VA., with military rites by the Grover King Post #1115 Veterans of Foreign Wars, of Hillsville. There will be a visitation on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family of Timothy S. Spears.
