Timothy James Horton, 53 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his home. Mr. Horton was born on May 19, 1962 in Carroll County to Paul and Janet Surratt Horton of Hillsville. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his daughter, Janet Riley Horton of Hillsville.

Timothy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Pearlie Horton and Lester and Minnie Surratt.

A graveside service with burial following will be held at the Joe Horton Cemetery on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
