Theresa Ann Dalton, 75 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Watauga Medical Center. Mrs. Dalton was born in Wythe County, Virginia on August 12, 1947 to the late Rudolph and Mary Frances Hale Pickett. She was a registered nurse for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Ned Dalton of the home; brothers, Jimmy Valko (Carolyn) of Maiden, NC, Fred Pickett (Katherine) of Rural Retreat, VA, Gary Pickett (Gayle) of Angier, NC, and David Pickett (Kim) of Gloucester, VA; sisters, Shirley Puckett (Eva Parks) of Rural Retreat, VA and Kim Spraker of Galax, VA; daughter, Tamara Sutphin of Hillsville, VA; son, Terry Akers (Kristain) of Mount Airy, NC; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsville at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jason Ratcliff officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
