Theodore Kenneth Colna III, age 44 of Hillsville, VA passed away on July 13, 2025.

Born in 1980, Theodore also known as Ted, Teddy, or 6-9 was larger than life in every way. Standing tall not only in statue but in spirit, he was the kind of person who made everyone feel safe, seen, and loved. He had a heart of gold, a sharp sense of humor and a natural gift for making others laugh, even on the hardest days. He was a big-hearted man whose presence filled every room he entered. He was a protector by nature and a friend to everyone who has crossed his path.

Ted was an artist at heart—expressing himself through drawing, painting, and creative projects that reflected his unique spirit. He was also incredibly handy and crafty, always building something or working with his hands. He loved the outdoors and found peace in nature—whether he was hunting, fishing, hiking, or simply enjoying time outside.

He is proceeded in death by his grandparents; John and Sandy Dutkiewicz and grandmother; Mary Stillwell.

Survived by grandparents; Theodore and Catherine Colna Sr, his parents; Theodore and Jackie Colna Jr, his siblings; Brian (Jess), Chris (Dani), Krysta (Jake), his beloved children; Madison (Ethan), Theodore IV, and Fisher, his grandchildren; Leland, SJ, and Lennie.

Ted leaves behind his legacy of love, laughter, and strength. His presence will be deeply missed but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

At this time there will be no public services held. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
