Thelma Genevieve Goad Edmonds

Thelma Genevieve Goad Edmonds 84 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Waddell Nursing Home in Galax, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Claude and Hassie Mae Goad; siblings, Carl Goad, and Mary Burnette; brother-in-law, Jerry Bleckley; and sisters-in-law, Linda Goad and Jenny Goad.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Jennifer Edmonds, and Thomas Edmonds and Elizabeth Becker; siblings and spouse, Owen and Frances Goad, and Nancy Bleckley; grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Jacob Edmonds, Sarah Grim, and Matthew Johnson; great-grandchildren, Lillyanna Jonas, Jonah Edmonds, Mila Grim, Henry Johnson, and William Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Marc Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the John Goad Cemetery.
