Sylvia Ellen Taylor

Sylvia Ellen Taylor, 80 of Dugpsur, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at her home. Mrs. Taylor was born in Carroll County, Virginia on July 18, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Cleveland and Clara Bell Hurst Ousley; husband, Jacob Lawson Taylor; brother, Estel Ousley; and sisters, Ruth Henley (Donald) and Mae Parson (Fred).

Survivors include her brother, Wiley Cleston Ousley (Connie); sisters-in-law, JoAnn Ousley and Roma Peters (Junior); special family friend, Christina Hallgren; step-grandson, Bryan Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Branscome Cemetery at 11:30 AM with Elder Melvin McGrady officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Sunday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
