Sylvia Stilwell, 98, of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, June 09, 2012 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center in Galax, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Harrison and Lula Green McPeak Durnil. She is survived by her husband, Isaac Stilwell of the Hillsville; daughter, Nelda Sue Key of Hillsville; three grandchildren, Lesa Jennings, Kathy Tobler, and Amy Sink; eight great grandchildren, Emily Jennings, Jenny Jennings, Bryan Jennings, Edward Tobler, Matthew Tobler, Denver Tobler, Daniel Tobler, and Chase Sink; three great-great grandchildren, Jacob Logan Tobler, Lucien Denver Tobler, and Lydiah Poe Tobler. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Dr. Lawrence Childs officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 1:00 PM until time of the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
